To conclude this year, here is my selection of "Favorite Photographs" for 2024. I took these photos throughout the past year. Some of them were also published in the "Latest Photos" section of the website.
This year was somewhat unusual, with a heatwave during the summer and relatively mild weather in recent months. As a result, at the beginning of this year, some wintering bird species are less numerous in the Camargue region (such as the teal), while some migratory species are becoming more sedentary there (such as the black-winged stilt). Ultimately, we can see that climate change has an undeniable impact on bird behavior.
This section therefore serves as a "best-of" collection, which is why I deliberately limit the selection in this gallery to around forty photographs. However, making the final selection is always a difficult and subjective process.
Finally, I hope you will enjoy browsing through this gallery.
