To close out this year, here is my selection of "Favorite Photographs" for 2025. I took these photographs throughout the past year, primarily in the Camargue region. Some of them have already been published in the "Latest Photos" section of the website.
The year was somewhat unusual, with a heatwave during the summer months and rather mild weather in recent months. As a result, at the start of this year, some wintering birds are less numerous in the Camargue (such as the common teal), and some migratory birds are becoming resident in the same region (such as the black-winged stilts); this phenomenon was already observed last year. Ultimately, climate change is having an undeniable impact on bird behavior.
This section is a "Best-of," I have therefore deliberately limited the selection in this gallery, to around forty photographs. Therefore, the choice is always difficult and subjective.
Finally, I hope you enjoy browsing this gallery.
