The Camargue remains my favorite place for birds because of its proximity to my home and its ornithological richness. This region is without a doubt a bird paradise. This is one of the reasons that prompted me to create this site dedicated to the “Birds of the Camargue”.

The Coussoul de la Crau is renowned for its fauna. In particular, it is home to birds typical of the steppes. The Coussoul is an ecosystem that welcomes, year-round or seasonally, a very large number of nesting birds. This national reserve is subject to regulated access. To enter the Coussoul de Crau Nature Reserve, you must have a permit (€3) and a map to be collected from the Ecomusee de la Crau, in Saint Martin de Crau. You must stay on the marked trails in order to preserve the fragility of the environments and the site.
