Favorite pictures 2024 New

To close this year, here is the selection of my “Favorite pictures” for the year 2024. I took these photographs throughout the past year. Some of them were published in the latest photos section of the site. This year was a bit unusual, with a heatwave during the summer period, and the last few months being rather mild. Some wintering birds are less numerous in the Camargue (such as the winter teals), and some migrants are becoming sedentary in this same region (such as the black-winged stilts). We can see that climate change has an undeniable impact on the behavior of birds.

This section therefore constitutes a “Best-of”, which is why I always voluntarily limit the selection of this gallery to around forty photographs. However, the choice is always difficult and subjective at the time of selection.
